The short version
- Permission first. Only email, text or WhatsApp people who agreed to hear from you, and stop as soon as they ask.
- No bought, rented or scraped lists for email or SMS marketing.
- No fraud, phishing, malware, hate, illegal goods, or impersonating anyone.
- We monitor bounce and complaint rates, and may pause sending to protect everyone's delivery.
This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what applies.
1. Who this applies to
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone using Social Boost Lab, including team members, resellers and their customers using our API. If you see abuse, report it to support@socialboostlab.com.
2. Never allowed, on any service
- Fraud, scams, phishing, or collecting passwords, card or bank details under false pretences.
- Impersonating a person, business, bank, government body or brand, or using a sender ID, domain or name you have no right to.
- Malware, viruses, or links to them.
- Illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, and unlicensed gambling, lending or investment schemes.
- Child sexual abuse material (reported to authorities), sexual content involving non-consenting people, or adult content sent without age checks and consent.
- Content that promotes violence, terrorism, harassment, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or privacy (see Copyright & Takedown).
- "Get rich quick", pyramid or Ponzi schemes, fake investments, and unregistered crypto offerings.
- Election misinformation, or political messages sent without the identification the law requires.
- Attacking, overloading, probing or scraping our systems, getting around limits or security, or reselling access in a way the Terms don't allow.
3. Email marketing rules
- Permission only. Email people who opted in (for example through a sign-up form or checkout opt-in), or existing customers where your law allows it. Be able to show when and how each person opted in.
- No purchased, rented, shared, harvested or scraped lists, including addresses found with Lead Finder, for marketing campaigns. Lead Finder contacts may only get individual, relevant business outreach where the law allows it (see section 6).
- Honest messages. Clear sender name, truthful subject lines, and your business's postal address in marketing emails.
- Unsubscribes. Every campaign includes an unsubscribe link and one-click unsubscribe headers. Unsubscribed, bounced and complaining addresses are suppressed automatically. Never re-add them.
- Healthy numbers. Accounts with a bounce rate above 2% or a complaint rate above 0.08% may be paused until the list is cleaned.
- Sending domains. Send from a domain you control, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up.
4. SMS rules
- Text only people who gave you their number and agreed to receive messages. Respect Do-Not-Disturb registers and national rules, such as the Nigerian Communications Commission's rules and the UK's PECR.
- Marketing texts must say who they're from and how to opt out. People who reply STOP are added to your do-not-message list automatically.
- Use only sender IDs you're entitled to; networks require proof. Don't use sender IDs that look like banks, government bodies, or brands you don't own.
- No messages that pretend to be one-time passcodes, bank alerts or deliveries when they aren't.
- Send marketing at reasonable local hours. Networks may block marketing messages at night.
5. WhatsApp rules
WhatsApp use must also follow Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Commerce Policy. You need the customer's opt-in before starting a conversation, must use approved templates outside the 24-hour customer service window, and must honour requests to stop. Meta may restrict or ban numbers that receive many blocks or reports; we can't overturn Meta's decisions.
6. Lead Finder
- Use it only to find businesses for legitimate business-to-business purposes.
- Follow the data protection and marketing laws of the countries your contacts are in. In the UK and EU you generally need a legitimate interest, must tell people where you got their details, and must stop when asked.
- Don't use it to build profiles of private individuals or children, or to collect sensitive information (health, religion, politics and similar).
- Don't resell the raw data as a list.
7. Social media growth
Order engagement only for accounts and posts you own or are authorised to manage. Don't use these services to harass or impersonate anyone, or to promote content that breaks this policy.
8. Websites, stores and business email
- Sell only what you're allowed to sell, describe products truthfully, and publish your own terms, refund and privacy information for your customers.
- Don't host phishing pages, file dumps, pirated content, or pages that exist only to redirect to spam.
- Business mailboxes are for your organisation's normal email. Don't use them for bulk marketing (use email campaigns instead) or to send unsolicited mail.
9. What happens if the rules are broken
We check for abuse with automatic signals (such as bounce and complaint rates, spam reports and network feedback) and with reports we receive. Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, limit or pause a service, remove content, suspend a sender ID, number, domain or website, or close the account. In serious cases we act immediately and may report to the authorities. Costs and fines caused by a breach may be recovered as set out in the Terms and the Refund Policy. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our notice and a person will review it.
