Social Boost Lab (socialboostlab.com) is a trading name of Cipher Knights Ltd: Cipher Knights Ltd, registered in Nigeria (CAC RC 8608715), 211 BeninβAuchi Expressway, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria; and Cipher Knights Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16141995), registered office Flat 9, 20 Calais Hill, Leicester, LE1 6FF, United Kingdom. In this policy "we" means Cipher Knights Ltd. We are the data controller for your account data, and a data processor for the contact lists and messages you handle through our tools.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), country and currency.
- Billing data: wallet top-ups, purchases and refunds. Card and bank details are entered on our payment providers' pages; we don't store them.
- Business documents: files you upload to register an SMS sender ID (for example a certificate of incorporation, an ID and a request letter), kept in private storage.
- Your audience and content: contacts, lists, templates, campaigns, websites and store data you create or import.
- Messaging data: messages you send and receive through email, SMS and WhatsApp, with delivery and read status.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and usage logs for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting.
2. WhatsApp Business
When you connect WhatsApp, you sign in through Meta's official signup and grant Social Boost Lab access to manage your WhatsApp Business Account and send messages for you. We receive your WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number, display name and message templates. We store the messages you send and receive, your customers' phone numbers and profile names, and delivery and read receipts, so we can show your inbox and campaign reports. We use this data only to provide the service to you. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with other customers. Messages are routed through Telnyx (our WhatsApp Business Solution Provider) and Meta, under their own terms and privacy policies.
3. How we use data
- To provide the services you choose: social media orders, email, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, websites, domains and online stores.
- To bill you, refund failed sends and keep accurate records.
- To keep the platform safe: detect abuse and spam, enforce opt-outs, and protect accounts.
- To send you service notices. Marketing emails from us are only sent if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Service providers
We share data only as needed to run the service, with: Meta Platforms and Telnyx (WhatsApp), Africa's Talking and Telnyx (SMS), Amazon Web Services SES (email), Supabase (database and file storage), Render (hosting), Anthropic (the AI website builder, only for the text you submit), Porkbun and Namecheap (domains), and Paystack, Stripe and Coinbase Commerce (payments). Some of these providers process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
5. Your responsibilities when messaging
You must only message people who have agreed to hear from you, and honour opt-outs. We add people who reply STOP to your do-not-message list automatically. WhatsApp use is also subject to Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Uploaded business documents sit in private storage and can only be opened through short-lived signed links by our staff. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it.
7. How long we keep data
We keep account and billing records while your account is open and as long as the law requires for tax and accounting afterwards. Messages and campaign logs are kept while your account is open so you can see your history. You can delete contacts and content at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
8. Your rights and deleting your data
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. To delete your data, including data from a connected WhatsApp or Facebook account, follow the steps on our data deletion page. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. See our cookies policy.
